SURFACE HARDENING TECHNOLOGY
Induction hardening is a precision treatment which allows selective hardening of precisely designated areas of a wide range of components.
The splined section of a shaft, for instance, or the face of a cam, where it is desirable to leave the rest of the component in an unhardened condition.
There is practically no scale, and distortion during treatment is minimised. The process is fast, very precise and reproducible, because of the close control exercisable by sophisticated electrical equipment.
Induction hardening is a flexible process which offers freedom to the designer and engineer. It can be applied to many different components for example:-
Rivets, Sockets, Hand Tools, Bearing Pins, Rollers, Links, Spindles, Axle Shafts, Brake Assemblies, Tie Rods, Rocker Arms, Crankshafts, Steering Racks, Hydraulic Pistons, Camshafts and many more.
