To maintain Quality standards MHT operates a fully equipped metallurgical laboratory using the latest measuring and monitoring equipment including a full range of hardness testing equipment and facilities for metallographic examination.
Statistical methods of quality control are in regular use either to Midland Heat Treatments’ own specifications or to customers’ requirements.
In addition, the company has fully approved equipment for crack detection and eddy current comparative testing.

We were one of the first contract heat treaters to gain approval to BS 5750/ISO 9002 - internationally recognised quality standards which are now demanded by buyers and engineers alike. We are currently approved to the latest standard ISO9001.
